Biggest snow party in the Alps of the season

For all you ski & concert lovers out there, the biggest and best end of season party in the Alps is to be found in Ischgl, Austria.
At the end of April every year, the Ischgl resort hosts a concert on the very mountain. Situated at the top of the gondelbahn, the stage is erected to a glorious backdrop of snowcapped mountains.
You buy your lift pass for the day, ski/snowboard until lunchtime, then stop watch the concert, drinking a beer or seven, the day normally ends in a massive snowball fight.
Taking the gondela back to Ischgl town, the party continues in Nikki’s Stadl, Hotel Elizabeth or the Kuhstahl.
Great fun, good music, fabulous ski conditions and glorious weather, what more could you ask for.
Previous acts include Tina Turner, Elton John, Sting, Rod Stewart, Alanis Morrisette, Pink, The Sugababes. This year Melanie C headlines.
