Review of The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

An unusual but very enjoyable love story/time travel novel.

Rated as 4/5 on Apr 22 2007 by Catherine O’Neill

I read this book a year or so ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.

It is the story of Henry, a time traveller and Clare, an artist. Henry, through a genetic mutation, periodically spontaneously travels through time, disappearing and leaving behind all clothes and possessions.

They first meet when Clare is 6 and Henry in his 30s. The book continues with them meeting throughout at different relative ages. When Clare meets him in her 20s, it is Henry’s first meeting with her.

Though the story can be disjointed at times, I found it a captivating read and more enjoyable than your run of the mill chick lit novel.
