Expensive for a single use kit.

This was another Christmas gift for our 7 year old who decided last autumn he was into forensics and investigative science. The kit basically comprises a base skull on a pedestal, moulding clay, plastic eyes, pegs to give shape to the face, modelling accessories such as roller, plastic cutters etc.
The plan was to reconstruct the face from the above and a good 2 hours were enjoyably spent with dad and kids having fun completing this task.
My main gripe is that once this task was completed, that was that. I feel, the kit could have been made a bit more flexible, with more choices in the type of face to reconstruct and the option to do more than one, ie to construct it and then undo and start all over again with a new face. An older child’s “Mr Potato head” if you like, where various noses, ears, cheekbones etc could be selected.
At a cost of nearly €30, it was expensive for 2 hours fun, but that said, all did enjoy those 2 hours!
