A brilliant garden centre supplying great outdoor and indoor plants, trees, shrubs, bulbs, tools, hardware and advice.
I know, I know, I must be getting auld to be reviewing a garden centre and believe me, I didn’t think I’d ever be doing it either. Anyhow, if ya have to review one, it may aswell be the best!
Griffins, for me, is. If I ever have any queries or am looking for something in particular, its the place to go. The range is excellent. From run of the mill plants, flowers, trees and shrubs to the unusual.
Its a pleasure to visit, great displays. I always come away, buying more than I thought I would, thinking that I’d better revisit soon to get more!
The staff are very helpful and friendly. There’s a garden club and newsletter published which can be downloaded from their website. The indoor shop stocks a large array of items including housewares, indoor plants and accessories, tools, wellies etc etc.
In addition, the instore cafe serves a mean apple tart which has both mine and Fionn’s whole hearted endorsement!
Its located in Dripsey, Co. Cork, a 10 minute drive from Ballincollig.
Go, go, go.
