Ok Opel Zafira

A 7 seater car that is a doddle to drive and park, but has very little “boot” space and can be awkward to change seat mode.

We bought this car a couple of years ago with the imminent arrival of our fourth child in mind. Initally I was apprehensive that a 7 seater car would feel huge and cumbersome to drive and park. This is not the case with the Zafira. The driver’s seat is quite high and therefore good from my perspective! I have found it zippy when overtaking. It’s main drawback is the lack of boot space. We are now a family of 7 and so all seats are occupied. This leaves just room for a collapsed single buggy in the boot.

The back two seats can collapse into the floor of the car, but this can be cumbersome to do if you have child seats installed in the middle row that attach using seat belts, as that row has to be moved forward to collapse the back row.

All in all, I would recommend this car if you have a family of 5 or 6 and need occasionally to transport an extra person or 2. However, as we are now 7, we shall be trading in for a vehicle that can transport us all and also some luggage!
